Super Bowl Preview
Super Bowl Preview It 'was a moment that we saw the Steelers in a Super Bowl (10 years). And we have never seen the Seahawks in the big game. Both teams have two weeks to prepare and get out relatively easy victories in the championship game. This game is neutral site of the Interior (Detroit), but does not differ in terms of how these teams was on the road this season? The Steelers are playing their best football at the right time a year, riding 7-0 SU, 6-1 ATS run in the last 7 games. Very impressive is that the No 6 seed and the AFC will win against the Bengals, Colts and Broncos - all on the road! What makes Pittsburgh 8-2 SU / ATS on the road this season! Seattle is 5-3 SU, 4-4 ATS on the road, but have an average 27 PPG impressive away from home. Edge to the Steelers. Philosophically, both teams are similar. Coach Bill Cowher and Mike Holmgren have veteran coaches who have taken their teams before the Super Bowl. Holmgren made his third trip, winning once and losing once with the Packers. Both coaches have built their teams, with a philosophy around the ball and balanced offenses. Each team has an injured back and a strong offensive line play. And 'interesting to note that in recent weeks, the two teams did not play conservative, that was their reputation. Pittsburgh came out to run the ball often against the Colts and Broncos, and threw several trick plays the Bengals. In the past, Cowher has tipped toward the management of football, according to critics, but this was not the case in the playoffs. Do not be surprised if both teams throw the ball and mixing cheek. The difference is that Cowher in Pittsburgh this season has probably one quarter of young talent, which is an excellent decision maker. Cowher has a clear confidence in the rental Big Ben Roethlisberger throw the football. This is not the case in the past ten years, when he was trapped below the average with QBS as Bubby and brister Kordel Stewart. Think about last year's Super Bowl, when two beautiful QBS square Donovan McNabb and Tom Brady. Brady has been quiet throughout the game, because he played in his third Super Bowl in four years. McNabb, however, is irregular, especially early in the reversal of several receptors and initiate lollipop too many passes, including a Rodney Harrison intercepted in the end zone for the first quarter. QBS nerves can get to play in their first Super Bowl with the world watching! The fact that the game is inside is probably a wash, or through the promotion of the team. Experience is another factor to consider. Even the team that has no experience in the Super Bowl, from the end, they give me an advantage to the Steelers. Pittsburgh was 16-2 last season and has hosted the championship game of the AFC, the Patriots lost. The experience factor that has allowed this postseason, especially since they have played three games on the road in hostile environments in Cincinnati, Indy and Denver. They played smart, error-free football. Seattlemade the playoffs last season, but died in the first round against the Rams. Then, this year, have an edge at home, but has played two matches against teams of different defects in Washington (no offense) and Carolina (too much damage to their third string back). Also, Seattle did not have game experience much more away from the big house. Retrospective of the season, Seattle has won only on the road in St. Louis and Tennessee. And the Seahawks lost 23-17 to Green Bay (their last game of the road), Washington and Jacksonville 20-17 to 26-14 to open the season. Also note that Seattle defense allowed 21 PPG on the road where they are 7.1 'More' of the total. Pittsburgh created more offense in the second half of the season and has a 5-2-1 run 'Plus' a total of Super Bowl. The Steelers have more game experience Interior: Thanksgiving, which have played three games indoors, Minnesota, one and two in Indianapolis, going 2-1 SU / ATS. Finally, games are often won and lost by tuover and in the trenches. I can not predict tuover, but I can tell you that in the trenches, both teams have yet to put an end to race this season, and every class in the Top 5 of the NFL. On paper, this is a wash in the trenches, which can mean sales will be "the difference", as the French say! Super Bowl 40 will be fun to dissect over the next two weeks to watch. Even if your luck, as always ... Al McMordie.
